The Welshman didn’t let that prevent him from making his mark on the biggest club stage of all, coming off the bench to bag the two goals that sealed glory in the competition for a third straight season, including arguably the greatest goal in the tournament’s history, a scarcely believable scissor-kick to make it 2-1.
Despite not Bale not being a regular starter, Los Blancos have demanded a £200m transfer fee from United according to the Sun, and that’s before his reported £650,000 per week wages.
